CBD is Medical Marijuana

This blog is dedicated to CBD rich Medical Marijuana strains as a medication. This blog is about growing, using, and the legal problems of using CBD rich Medical Marijuana. We do not encourage the use of marijuana, nor do we hold judgement over those who do. In all matters marijuana, there are patients who require special strains, medical strains which have very high levels of CBD, and lower levels of THC. Most of the people who visit this blog are medical marijuana patients, caregivers of medical marijuana patients, or, who like myself, are former medical marijuana users. THC, and CBN, are harmful in patients who have seizures, because they trigger seizures. Psychoactive metabolites do not allow people to function. One lady who has M.S. is the mother of 2 small children. She can not be impaired by any psychoactive compounds, she needs to be alert to be a mom.

Getting high is not a medicine, unless you are terminally ill. Treatment must follow the rules of therapeutics:

Treat the condition.
Relieve pain and suffering.
Restore the patient to a full and productive life.

Being high does not allow you to function normally. Patients taking marijuana (when they have access to the newer CBD rich strains) are able to live a pain free life, have a clear head, are able to coordinate, and do not have 'memory burn out'. Very high CBD levels treat the psychoactive side effects of THC and CBN. CBD also treats pain, and is anti-inflammatory.
Patients have a choice. They can either get high or not.

Many medical marijuana patients need a very high level of THC for their condition (pain control, for example). CBD also treats pain, and is an inflammatory. Pain control is treated by making concentrates of the metabolites from the marijuana plant.  Concentrates may reach as much as 85 percent THC. Patients do not use it to become super-stoned. They use it in small doses, and take many doses during the day. This allows the patient to have a constant high level of THC. Medical Marijuana is not always smoked. It may be vaporized, it may have been concentrated in butter (cannabutter), in oil (hemp oil), or by tincture. Marijuana is also juiced (like a tomato is juiced) When marijuana is juiced, the patient does not get high.

Rules of this blog: No sales of marijuana or paraphernalia. No Flames. Be polite. Respect others, even if they have a different opinion.

Marijuana is legal in 14 states and in the D.C.. The Federal government does not recognise the legal status of state laws. The Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) also makes a few wasteful raids on plants that have no THC. They search and destroy 1000's of feral hemp plants in IA. The people who live there know that these feral hemp plants have no THC. MJ recreational users do not bother with the 1000's of hemp plants that grow along the sides of highways. The DEA likely knows that. No one cares about these hemp plants, but the govenment spends thousands of tax dollars eradicating them as if people were growing 1000's of marijuana plants along the sides of highways and along pathways in public parks.

The DEA does have an important, vital role in stopping illegal drugs.
Trillions of dollars are being made in illegal and harmful drugs, such as cocaine, methamphetamine, and hundreds of 'hard drug's.

With  limited man power, the DEA should concentrate their time on stopping these drugs, instead of spending our vital resources on marijuana. Hard drugs that enter our country are sourced by terrorists, and by enemies of the United States. The DEA must take care of vital matters for the best interests of the country. Medical marijuana patients are on a list, their names and addresses are known. It is 'easy pickings' for law enforcement. Please do not waste my tax dollars chasing smoke, you have a clear job, please protect this nation.

Claims that marijuana has no legitimate medical use is false. THC has been patented and is sold as Rx drugs. CBD, an important metabolite of Marijuana has been patented by the FDA. The federal government is blocking anyone from developing the patented metabolites of marijuana. Please, either make CBD and other metabolites available by Rx, or make it legal access by marijuana. I do not endorse getting high. Recreational use of marijuana is a seperate matter than medication. Some of the metabolites of marijuana have therapeutic value. This blog is about therapeutics.

If you are a medical marijuana patient, and you use or need high CBD/low THC strains of marijuana as a medication, or if you are interested in using marijuana as a medicine, but do not want to live high, then this blog is for you. The psychoactive effects of marijuana can impair patients who don't want any side effects from a drug, including what might be a pleasant one.

For those people who use medical marijuana and have a compromised immune system, you have special needs. Marijuana which is grown outdoors is subject to bird droppings. Bird feces contains many deadly pathogens, including the H1N1 virus, as well as MRSA. Most marijuana is infested with insects, insect droppings, and insect parts. Most marijuana also has spider webs, and opportunistic mites. All marijuana is highly prone to fungus. These kill the plant. Growers spray marijuana with pesticides, miticides, and fungicides. All of these are poisons. Bird droppings, and insects contain deadly pathogens, and the fungal infections are dangerous to anyone with a compromised immune system. Burning marijuana does not destroy all of the spores. When marijuana is burnt, the flame causes a heat plume. Some of the spores rise up on the heat plume and enter the patient's lungs. When marijuana is used in a vaporizer, no plant matter is burnt.

Please discuss your medical needs, if you use marijuana or if you would like to use marijuana as a medication. We would like to hear your needs and your concerns.

The Federal Government has not recognised states rights in allowing patients who have registered with that state as having the legal status of growing, selling, buying, or using marijuana.

In Philadelphia, Pa., marijuana is illegal. It is no longer a major problem in the courts because Philadelphia had decided to 'unclog' their courts and (free up valued police time) by making someone caught possesing a small amount of marijuana pay what is essentially a fee (much like a bridge toll). No records are tracked through a court system.
Your personal experience with the law (or fear of the law) is important to your health insofar as you being able to obtain a medication.

There is a lot of hate between people who use marijuana and their local
police, and the state and federal officers. Some of this is because there are conflicting laws, federal law making marijuana illegal, and state laws making marijuana legal. Govenments are compelled to govern so that the people are not entrapped between jurisdictional lines. Courts cannot function when they have no clear single venue.

One million people are imprisoned for using marijuana, and have sentenced for 5 years at a cost of 30 thousand to 40 thousand dollars each year to house each prisoner. It costs Billions of dollars year to pay for cost of housing food, and medical care of people who are caught smoking marijuana, and had commited no other crime.  It is still illegal to smoke or use marijuana in PA. Philadelphia, Pa has changed it's laws. Possetion of small amounts of marijuana do not result in long term arrests. Instead, it is a civil penalty, and the user is given a fine. This has uncloged the courts of minor crimes,  saving the taxpayer millions of dollars and freeing the valuable time of the police who must otherwise testify in court. Many states are considering this option. Instead of incuring billions of tax payer dollars, the state now has an income. Marijuana is still illegal, and large amounts will keep people behind bars. A civil penalty also saves the expenses of tracking court records for the person arrested for having marijuana, because civil penalties do not require that records will follow that person. If this policy were adapted for federal cases, it would save billions of tax-payer dollars.

Tens of thousands of people are receiving life sentences for using marijuana.
 Murder's, and
men who rape little boys and girls serve only  4 to 5  years  in prison.

One note about juicing. Never use the roots of marijuana or the hemp plant. They contain neurotoxins which also cause liver damage.

  1. A new demographic group of pateints using marijuana as a medication are, according to the American Association for Retired Persons (AARP) are people ages 40 up. People are using marijuana as a medication because their Rx drugs are failing them, or they have too many side effects from their prescription drugs. People are also using marijuana as a medicine because they no longer are able to afford the cost of their Rx drugs.

  2. If you look at what the ECS does it regulates electrical activity, so it makes perfect logical sense that marijuana would work as a medicine because it stimulates the system meant for controlling electrical impulses in the brain.

The government is insane. Fuck the government, and fuck the police.

I'm ashamed to be from a country that has useless laws like this, that lie to the public about this, that is acting crazy.

More people should care about ending prohibition of all drugs, because the government's laws are stupid asshole dick laws, not smart educated and compassionate laws.

  3. as to what you said about the DEA, in case you couldn't tell I disagree with you and wish that someone would nuke the murdering bastards and turn them into nuclear waste.

I am also epileptic, and that's the reason I give a shit, is because it does stop seizures, but hey, no one cares about epilepsy either. people care little for sick people, they aren't fun to hang out with.

    1. I have epilepsy. For years none of the many AED's including investigational meds, and an anticonvulsant device, non had ever worked. From age 26 to age 58 I had nothing but seizures. I had lived in intensive care for weeks at a time. I had been in a coma, and was in cardiac arrest 3 times. I had been told by most of my doctors that I should make sure that my affairs are in order, say good-by to my friends and family and make peace with my God. I had been told not to show up at Emergency Room for seizures, only if I needed to be patched up. Two nurses had told me that they would kill me - you are wasting our time, and taking up a bed that someone might use, they had said. They were not kidding. They told everyone there not to treat me. The hospital ignored me when I had asked them to intervene. It took a threat of charges of terrorism, and the hospital, conspiracy to commit terrorism, to get them to change. The nurses were charged with terrorism, plead insanity. This was before 9/11.
Desperate, I turned to marijuana. Surprise, it worked. Perfectly. You have to be careful. THC, the fun part, will trigger seizures. In epilepsy, and also in some patients with some auto-immune disorders, high doses of THC triggers seizures. It took me a long time to discover that because I had taken marijuana thinking that being well stoned was the correct dose. Stoned I did get. Totally wasted. At those levels - I had more seizures - which I treated with still more marijuana. You need very little marijuana, a dose that makes you relaxed and not stoned. Today I no longer have to rely on Marijuana. Marijuana was a lot less expensive, about $ 7.00 to $ 8.00 / day. Although illegal, I had no problem with the law. Where I was living, a small town in IA, marijuana is a low priority crime, and for anyone using it for a real medical use, a no priority crime. The police there are decent folk. They knew that I was using marijuana, and they also knew why I was using marijuana. They would see me in HYVEE, the supermarket, obviously on weed, and smelling like the inside of a bong, waved me a hello, and asked me I was OK. There were a lot of people there who used marijuana for medical reasons, people with cancer, MS, and many other conditions. No one with a medical use was arrested, nor bothered. If you were to give a child some pills, one of the hard drugs, where you could only afford by selling your body, they would throw your ass in jail. Good people, the police.
